People DO Change

People change. But it’s not because you want them to…It’s because THEY want to. And it’s because YOU change.
Reminder: What’s so incredible about this reality is that everything is a mirror of you.
So if you want a different life experience all you need to do is go within to heal and evolve.
Take an honest look at yourself and the behaviors and patterns that create your life…

I had a big cry for the Earth yesterday. I still feel so much sadness.

And I wonder… How is this going to work out for the highest and best good of the planet?

As some of you may or may not know there is a pipeline being built across country to transport oil, also known as pipeline 3

#HonorNativeLands this Thanksgiving

Every year I write some kind of anti-Thanksgiving post inspired by my past lives as a Native American.

Let’s be clear here–the European settlers did NOT come over and befriend the Natives. Massive genocide took place. There was NOT a nice Thanksgiving feast where they came together for a joyous celebration.

What I’ve heard from those of native descent is that it was a time to celebrate the killing of the Natives actually, NOT a collaborative time for feasting.

Remember my loves, what we were taught in school is “his-story” NOT history.

Even today it’s important to honor humans and the Earth.

Give thanks AND forgive, especially today.

Happy Thanksgiving! To be honest, I cringe a bit when I think of what this holiday was truly intended to celebrate. It’s been so long ago, that the true history of Thanksgiving has been distorted and forgotten. I choose to remind people of the reality of this “holiday” so that history doesn’t repeat itself. It’s a marker for the pillage and genocide that the Native Americans suffered. So perhaps today is also about forgiveness too…

Lessons learned from LA Fire Evacuation

Since Friday I have been evacuated from my beautiful home in Topanga. As the fires continue in Los Angeles, it’s unclear when I’ll return. Despite being displaced from home it has been a rich time filled with lessons and a deepening of community. It was frightening to wake up without electricity and cell phone service. I packed a bag, grabbed the most important things and drove out of the canyon. When I saw the smoke coming over the mountain I gasped.

Your way isn’t right, but neither is mine...

One aspect of personal development is about taking responsibility for our life and actions. It’s also about opening our minds and hearts to other ways of thinking, living and being. Each one of us is a product of the family we were born into, as well as the culture and city we grew up in. Education, jobs and life experience also play a role in how we view the world. What seems normal to one person could be totally foreign to another. Who’s to say who’s right and who’s wrong?

Living Beyond Injustice

Though injustice is a part of life, I feel we have the capacity to transform it, prevent it from happening, learn from it, grow from it and even create opportunities from it. We can write a brighter future for humanity. We can shift our perception from being a victim and witness, to being a protagonist and example for others by choosing how we respond to situations of injustice.

The Dance Floor is My Teacher

I love to dance. Dance is my medicine. It’s therapy. Food for our soul. It’s something we humans have done since the beginning of time. It’s written in our DNA. What happened to this lost art that allows us to embody our prayers, let go of tension and stress and release what is no longer serving us? Why have people stopped moving to the drum when it’s a natural antidepressant and teaches us about relating with ourselves and others?

What is the Awakening of the Divine Feminine?

Many people talk about this as the awakening of humanity into greater consciousness. Part of this awakening of consciousness also includes the awakening of the divine feminine (and the divine masculine too). I’d like to highlight the awakening of the divine feminine, because for so long the feminine was suppressed in our culture, and in some cultures it still is today, and why it's so important it is awakening.

Unhappy with society? Life? Let’s create something new…

On social media all I see are people complaining about the current government system and about what is happening in the world. Much energy wasted on complaining about everything, but what is actually being done about? People want change.

Conscious Money Talk

Money is one of those things most people don’t like to talk about. Interestingly so, because money is a big part of our current reality. Most people allow it to decides every aspect of their lives. Most people measure their success and worthiness based on much money they make and have. What if money was actually more of an energetic flow with internal and external factors?

Life–Union of Masculine + Feminine–Quest 6

The union of the masculine and feminine is not just about sex. Our entire reality, as well as each one of us as individuals, is composed of a dance between the masculine and feminine. The union of the masculine and feminine creates life. Both the masculine and feminine within ourselves is needed to create a life we love. Being and doing. Flowing and deciding. Art is a beautiful example of creation that requires both our masculine and feminine nature. Even relationships between men and women from a non-sexual standpoint are important for the co-creation of life...

Balance of the Masculine–Quest 5.

As individuals and as a collective, we will know the greatest peace and joy, when the masculine and feminine energies become balanced–both within ourselves and in society. This is the Utopia many of us seek. When in balance the masculine is admirably strong, decisive, confident, focused, direct and action focus, with logical, linear and leadership ways of relating.
