One would say that was good luck, the other bad luck, and the other may not even think it significant. Last week I connected to one of my past lives when I was a native Shaman. This wasn’t a surprise to me because I’ve had many lives as a shaman, my work is very shamanic, and I was born into a lineage of shamans. But what was surprising to me was what I saw. I’m a free spirit. That means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Yesterday, lying under a tree seeking refuge from the sun, a handsome photographer told me about Plato’s The Allegory of the Caves, and it sparked a sense of deeper compassion for every person I meet. I live in a cave that is a creation of my life experiences. No two caves are the same and thus the way I experience life and define free spirit is likely different from yours.
